Massage therapy is a skill I was naturally born with and drawn to. As a young child, I was able to sense when someone needed a positive touch, and I would instinctively go to them and give shoulder massages or a gentle rub. While lying on the table receiving my first massage at the age of 16, I decided right then that massage was what I wanted to do for a living. It gives me great pleasure to assist people on their journey of wellness — physically, mentally, and spiritually.
I am a graduate of Health Options Institute in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. My studies there were under some of the greatest teachers/healers I believe are living today. There is so much to learn that is of great benefit to humanity. It is my commitment and dedication to my clients to continue learning and expanding my knowledge for the rest of my life.
I have been practicing massage since 2004, and I acquired my national certification from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) in 2009. My first job was in a chiropractor’s office. I worked there for one year until the birth of my first daughter. During that time, I gained great experience working with a variety of different people and conditions. The birth of my daughter brought about in me a great interest and love for working with pregnant women. I have my certification in prenatal massage and am currently a massage doula in-training.
Since then, I have worked with other chiropractors and doctors, as well as spas and salons. I am grateful to have such a diverse background of working experience and education. It is what makes me the therapist I am today and strive to be in the future!
I love the work I do and look forward to being a part of your healing process.
- Please arrive 5 – 10 minutes early to fill out a health history. If you printed it out online, please fill it out at home and bring it with you to your first appointment. Click here to download.
- We will discuss any aches and pains you have and what goals you have for your massage session.
- I will leave the room while you undress to your comfort level and get on the massage table. It is common for guests to completely disrobe for their massage, although you may wear undergarments if you prefer. Keep in mind I am trained to drape you discreetly and to protect your privacy at all times.
- During your massage it is very important that you keep me informed if you would like more or less pressure. Feedback is fantastic and allows me to tailor the massage to your needs. Please let me know if the room is too warm or cold, the music too loud or soft, etc. Unfortunately I'm not a mind-reader; please don't be shy in letting me know if there is any way that I can make your massage session more comfortable for you!
- Relax and enjoy your massage! There is no need to assist me with any movements.
- Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns before, during, or after your massage.
- If you arrive late for your massage, you will receive the remainder of your allotted massage time and will be charged for the full session. Please give me a call if you know you will be running late. I may be able to fit your entire session into my schedule.
- No-shows are responsible for full payment.
- Sexually suggestive remarks or advances will not be tolerated. Doing so will result in immediate termination of your session, and you will be liable for full payment of your appointment.
- Payment is expected at the time service is rendered. I accept cash and checks only.
- To get the most out of your session, please don't forget to turn off your cell phone.
- Cleanliness is required. Please shower the day of the session.
- For your own comfort, do not eat a heavy meal two hours prior to the session.
- Gratuity is appreciated but not expected. I am honored that you have chosen me as your therapist! Your referrals are the best compliment I can receive!
